![]() Strategy: Get good at gate breaks, head out in front, and stay there. There are no specific skills for Front, but I've found the "faster sprint charge rate in the first 400m" is more effective on my Front horses in live events, because I'm more likely to be in the sprint charging bar in the beginning of the race.If you fall behind with a front horse, your chances of catching back up are slim. ![]() Best for when you are running a race your horse is already going to win or live events if your horse is really suited to the race (Really good/near perfect stats for that grade).I don't care that much what position my horses run in. So, I'm one of those players who started out playing Front position, got converted to back/middle by the veterans, and, as I've become a veteran myself, has realized it just doesn't matter that much. The distance you lose by braking is probably not going to be made up by the extra sprint you gain by being in the charging area. I almost *never* brake to fall back into a sprint charging area and only actually do that if my horse's back hooves already look like they're in it, but I'm not getting the charge bonus and even then, only if I have a lot of my sprint bar left to charge. Generally, I run all my horses the same, regardless of position. I hope it‘a clear enough, I’ll try making a video. I’d say with backs I work up to 4th or 3rd, make sure the first is two or three lengths max in front of me, and cover all that ground difference during the final sprint. The second point is most challenging with back runners, but by working that option properly you can be placed in third and still have your sprint energy charging zone where you are. Second - follow the pack and “influence” the comfort position by moving up or down The way I work things out after having accomplished the start I’m aiming to match my horse’s preference is :įirst - get to a position that is closest possible to the rail ![]() Same thing goes for my back runners, but I hit the “go” button even earlier or later (two spaces before or after the “perfect start” space), so they can run in their comfort zones and charge from the beginning without having to slow down or speed up. My horse will leave the box later but will directly be in her comfort zone (understand the zone where she charges her sprint energy). Now, running with a middle horse I will tap the “go” button on the areas just before or after the “perfect” space. If you visualize the “start” bar, the area in the middle that you need to tap to get a perfect will get you in head of the horses in the beginning of your race. I don’t know about a clearly defined strategy per say, but I do have middle and back runners with perfect stats, amd what has been working for me is to NOT get a perfect start.
